Its name comes from the fact that its Serpentine ™ heating elements are installed in a 304 stainless steel housing and threaded at both ends.
These threaded in-line air heaters are typically supplied with compressed air supply lines and are used to rapidly heat air for precise in-line temperature control in heated industrial processes.
Threaded In-Line Thermocouple Adapter is made of 316 stainless steel with better resistance to oxidation at higher temperatures.
