There are four Armlifts at each laser cutting station and EdmoLift has delivered 48 Armlifts in all to the factory. The ALT 3000 Armlifts have been substantially enlarged to be able to handle the large panels that are processed. The panels are used in the ”safety cage” on the XC90 and are high strength so that they do not deform in a crash. In order to achieve the best ergonomic results the Armlifts combine lift and tilt in the same unit and also have a low height so that the operators need never to bend or stretch to pick up the material. The Armlifts are also installed in pits and can be lowered completely down to floor level when not in use. This provides a free floor surface. 03
