FEAD is the European organisation which represents the EU's waste management industry. Our members are national associations of waste management and environmental services, whose members are private and/or public waste management companies. These are active in all forms of waste management, giving FEAD an overview of the various management options and how they are adaptable to different situations and localities.

For more information on our role and working method, please view our presentation brochure by clicking one of the icons below or contact us on more specific issues.

FEAD is the European Federation which represents the European waste management industry. Our members are national waste management associations, which have an approximate 70% share in the household waste market and handle more than 75% of industrial and commercial waste in Europe, with a collective annual turnover of approximately € 45 billion. We have 20 members from 19 EU Member States and Norway. FEAD represents more than 4000 companies with activities in all forms of waste management. These companies employ over 350 000 people who operate around 2 200 controlled landfills, 2 000 recycling and sorting centres, 1700 composting sites and 400 waste-to-energy plants and play an important role in the determination of the best environmental option for waste management problems.
