Biofind is about to change

With the new look website we are moving platforms from our own in-house solution to the open source CMS Drupal. Rebuilding Biofind on Drupal has allowed us add new features to the website, including a completely revamped and refitted Rumor Mill.

Accounts and Posting Details
Along with a new look, the new website involves some revised posting requirements. A user account is now required to post any content on Biofind. This decision will allow us to better moderate the site. We understand, however, that some users may wish to post comments or rumors anonymously. Therefore, when posting a new rumor, users can opt to post anonymously. It is important to understand that this anonymity extends only to other users. Biofind staff will still be able to see who posted all content. Rumor posters can also elect to disallow anonymous comments, encouraging genuine and valid responses to their rumor.

Networking
With the new user profiles come a new networking section. Here you can fill out your profile information, locate your colleagues and add them as buddies. Each profile new features an activity feed so you can monitor when your friends have posted rumors, which events they're attending and view and messages they've sent you. You can also download their V-Card, aswell as view their linkedIn profile.

Over the next week we will be updating the website with new features, as well as tweaking the appearance and functionality of the website.
