Andrew Schultz"OSG is the ideal workhorse for our calculations. We've run 60,000 jobs since last January, an order of magnitude beyond what has otherwise been possible. We're very grateful for the opportunity to use OSG."

- Andrew Schultz, Research Assistant Professor. Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, SUNY at Buffalo

Technology

Berkeley Storage Manager

(BeStMan) is an implementation of SRM v2.2 for both small, disk-based storage and mass storage systems. End users may have their own personal BeStMan application that provides an SRM interface to their local disks. BeStMan works on top of existing disk-based Unix file systems and has been reported to work on the file systems such as NFS, GPFS, PVFS, GFS, NGFS, HFS+, Lustre, Hadoop and XrootdFS. Minimal administrative work on deployment and updates is required. Learn more.
