Who we are
The Foreign Trade Association (FTA) is the association for European commerce specialised in international trade issues. Our members are national trade associations and companies from all over Europe.
For 30 years we have represented their interests, informing and supporting them in their commitment to free trade.
What we do
- We are dedicated to the improvement of the political and legal environment for European commerce with respect to the European Union, international institutions like the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and national governments worldwide.
- We address all international trade issues, in particular WTO, customs and procedures, bilateral free trade agreements, anti-dumping and access to markets outside Europe.
- Trade policy also touches on social and development policy questions. Through the Business Social Compliance Initiative , (BSCI), the FTA is committed to improving social standards in the global supply chain of commerce.
