Scania at IAA 2008
Welcome to the 62nd IAA commercial vehicle show in Hanover. The exhibition is open between 25 September and 2 October 2008. At the exhibition Scania presents its truck, bus and coach range, pioneering engine and alternative fuel technologies, as well as the comprehensive service offering.

Scania and Sveaskog join in environmental effort
Scania is now running a training course in fuel-efficient driving for trucking companies that haul timber in parts of central Sweden for the Sveaskog forest product company. Results indicate that after training, the drivers can reduce their fuel consumption by 9 percent. For these truckers alone, this would represent 8,000 tonnes less carbon dioxide emissions each year.

Scania receives large truck order in Brazil
Scania is delivering 260 tipper trucks to the Brazilian company Odebrecht. The delivery includes driver training and on-board transport planning computers. It is the largest single truck order in the 51-year history of Scania Brasil.

Scania will deliver 400 city buses to Singapore
SBS Transit, Singapore’s leading public transport company, has ordered 400 Scania buses in addition to the 500 units ordered in 2007. With engines featuring exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) technology, these buses will meet both 2009 European emission standards (Euro 5) and the stricter enhanced environmentally friendly vehicle (EEV) standard. The delivery also includes Scania’s systems for logging and monitoring of vehicle performance data.
