Universal aqueous phase alkyd and acrylic undercoat AQUALINE IMPRESS
DEFINITION :
Universal undercoat for standard building surfaces, walls or ceiling, prior to final coat, wallpaper or other wall-covering.
DESTINATION :
For interior walls and ceiling, plaster, plasterboard, cement, water-based coatings (pH<9), wood and derivatives, as well as old but sound painted surfaces (interior or exterior). Final coat can be aqueous phase or alkyd-solvent.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS :
- Binder: Alkyd and acrylic resins in aqueous dispersion
- Aspect: Mat velvet
- Color: White and pastel
- Dry extract: 58% by weight, 40% by volume
- Density: 1,4 Yield 10 to 12m2/l depending on type of surface
- Drying: Touch dry: 30 mins*
- Sanding: 2 hours*
- Second coat: 4 hours* at 20°C
*depending on weather conditions and the shade of color applied
SURFACE PREPARATION :
The surface must comply with applicable DTU, notably DTU N°59.1. Prior inspection necessary in order to determine the nature of the surface and the preparation required. Surfaces must be clean and sound: it is necessary to:
- remove powdery or crumbly areas
- clean dirt or scuff marks
- degrease certain woods with DAF310 thinner
- sand shiny surfaces (lacquer, hard PVC, etc)
APPLICATION SPECIFICATIONS :
- Application: One-coat application
- Conditions: Interior: Temperature above 8°C, Hygrometry below 65%
- Thinning: 0 – 5% water if porous or absorbant surface and for spray-gun application. Product ready to use on non-absorbant surfaces.
- Tools: Brush, Medium length (12/14mm) roller, Airless spray-gun, nozzle 11 to 13, up to 5% white spirit
- Cleaning: Water, immediately after use.
