DEFINITION :
Universal microporous isolating undercoat and primer.
DESTINATION :
Primer for all sound, standard building surfaces (plaster and derivatives,
concrete and derivatives, wood and derivatives, ceramic, sandstone). Coverable with
aqueous phase (acrylic, vinyl, alkyd emulsion, epoxy) or solvent phase (e.g. alkyd, alkydurethane)
paints. For other finishes consult our technical support.
PROPERTIES:
- Isolates stains on plaster, plasterboard, and other surfaces.
- Blocks nicotine, soot, ink, glue stains
- blocks weeping tannins in certain woods (oak, chestnut, etc)
- Isolates graffiti, felt pen, or pencil marks.
Very versatile, AQUAPRIM ISOLANT adheres well to old alkyd paints, etched zinc,
copper, etched aluminum, galvanized steel (etched if new), glass, etc.
NB. Certain stains can appear through AQUAPRIM ISOLANT but will not be visible
after final coat.

APPLICATION SPECIFICATIONS:
• Application: One-coat application, in general, on prepared surfaces (and old
paint after removing flaking). For maximum isolation apply a thick
coat of AQUAPRIM ISOLANT on stains or marks, allow to dry 90
mins, then apply a normal coat.
• Precautions: AQUAPRIM ISOLANT does not mix with any other paint. For use
with airless spray-gun, material must be exempt of old paints.
• Conditions: Exterior: temperature above 5°C, Hygrometry below 80%
Interior: Temperature above 8°C, Hygrometry below 65%
• Thinning: 0 – 5% water depending on porosity, otherwise ready to use.
• Tools: Brush for acrylic, textured roller (12/14mm), Airless spray-gun,
nozzle 15 to 19.
• Cleaning: Water immediately after use
SURFACE PREPARATION:
Surfaces must comply with DTUs, especially DTU N° 59.1. Prior inspection necessary in
order to determine the right surface preparation
