SPX : ATEX single-pole power connector 550A/1000V AC

MARECHAL ELECTRIC launch the new SPX single-pole power connector with an "e" protection mode. It can be installed in zones 1 and 2 (gas) and zones 21 and 22 (dust) complying with the ATEX directives 94/9/CE.

The SPX silver-nickel butt contacts offers an excellent conductivity. Its schocs resistance (IK08) garantees sécurity, fiability et simplicity for users.

Essential features:

- Max permanent current : 550 A,
- Max operating voltage : 1000 V AC / 1500 V DC,                                                                    - 5 different keying position by means of coding ring for L1, L2, L3, N and E,
- Electromechanical locked system wtih a micro switch "positive security" Ex,
- Automatic IP65/66 watertightness as soon as the plug is connected,
- No need to rotate the plug to insert it in the socket-outlet, once connected, the plug rotation is locked                                                                                                                             - Temperature range : -40 °c to +60 °C

 SPX receptacles are IP2X rated to prevent accidental finger contact with live parts and are also equipped with pilot contacts for controlling the power circuit.

The SPX is the single pole power conector for difficult atmospheres. It is used on off-shore plat-forms and FPSO’s.
