The MBi printers are part of the “Compact” family comprising light, mobile printers that
are easy to operate. The new MBi’s outer construction is made of polycarbonate, and also incorporates a shock-absorbing mechanism to withstand heavy impact for added durability. With its smooth edged and modular design, it is intended to fit snugly in the hands of operators. Bluetooth and Wireless LAN connectivity are also available on this series as optional factory fitted interface modules. In addition, the wireless LAN module in the MBi family is compliant with Wireless IEEE802.11b standard.

MBi series employ a high speed 32-bit CPU for high throughput printing speeds of up to 103mm per second, they actually consume very little power: the sophisticated mobile processor onboard automatically reduces power consumption by shutting down any unneeded or idle on-chip circuitry. Operation time per battery charge is thus significantly enhanced.
