The modular safety and control systems PSS 3000 and PSS 3100 monitor safety-related functions and perform standard control functions at the same time centralised or decentralised. Communications interfaces to fieldbus systems, to the safe bus system SafetyBUS p and to Ethernet enable the units to be integrated rapidly into the plant's full control sequence.
 
With PSScompact safety and control systems you can exercise complete safety-related control of a plant, machine or process : centralised or decentralises safety and control system with 47 to 8064 inputs/outputs.

With the PSSuniversal, safety-related and/or standard control functions are performed decentrally at field level. Communication at control level is via common fieldbus systems and/or the safe, open bus system SafetyBUS p. The system is modular in design and is therefore expandable and can be used in a wide range of applications. A lot of decentralised input/output modules for functional safety and standard control functions, compact modules for standard control functions and wireless modules are available. With the PSSuniversal Assistant you can quickly and easily configure your own individual solution on the PC. You can use the PSSuniversal Startup Tool to test the periphery independently from the commissioning of the fieldbus system and controller.

Pilz offers the widest range of modules in protection classes IP67. IP67 modules are water and dust resistant and can be used decentrally in the field (outside the control cabinet). Decentralised input modules are available for SafetyBUS p and for connection to PNOZmulti, as well as passive junctions, offering a high level of decentralisation.
