A cerid® coating on osteosynthesis materials inhibits friction corrosion and increases biocompatibility. What's more, it makes implants easier to remove once the bone has successfully healed.

Tantalum based coatings provide the best protection against corrosion and excellent biocompatibility. If such coatings are damaged they repair themselves.
