BALINIT® FUTURA NANO

The optimised relationship of hardness and residual compressive stress of the BALINIT® FUTURA NANO titanium aluminium nitride coating increases the stability of the cutting edges of machining tools. Its outstanding thermal and chemical resistance permit dry cutting and improvements in performance of highly stressed components. The high hardness of the coating gives outstanding protection against abrasive wear and erosion. BALINIT® FUTURA NANO is foodstuff-neutral.

BALINIT® FUTURA NANO is also available as low-temperature BALINIT® FUTURA NANO ARCTIC coating (coating temperature of 200°C).

Recommended applications:
•  HSS and carbide tools exposed to high thermal stresses (drilling, turning, dry machining, HSC)
•  plastic injection moulding (moulds with textured surfaces, processing of melts with fibreglass reinforcement)
•  combustion engine components
