New Oxane luminaire from Thorn makes road lighting

Today Thorn announces the launch of Oxane, a simple LED road lantern that delivers energy efficiencies and cost savings while providing superior optical performance.

Easy to install and maintain, Oxane reduces installation and maintenance costs while offering full dimming, minicell and remote monitoring capabilities to ensure optimum energy management.

Oxane is available in 4 lumen packages (from 2klm to 6klm) that allow to address up to Me3 lighting classes. This makes the luminaire particularly suitable for main roads, residential areas, paths, roundabouts and building surroundings.

With its highly engineered heatsink canopy and already proven LED optical system. Oxane offers accurate and reliable lighting performances. The patented combination of LED lenses and mirrors achieves the perfect balance between longitudinal and transversal flux distribution for optimised spacing and uniformity in complete glare control and best comfort.

Oxane LED modules have a direct thermal path to the luminaire outside surface for the best heat dissipation. The result is a long service life (>70,000 hours @25°C Ta L70%). In addition the protective shock resistant (IK09) flat glass will extend the performance with an easy cleanable surface.
