Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. delivers the superior performance of a CNC and the cost savings and flexibility of a personal computer with the introduction of its MeldasMagic 64 PC-NC, a PC-based computer numerical control (CNC) system. Utilizing 64-bit RISC technology, the system matches the high-speed machining capabilities of higher end dedicated CNCs. Packaged complete with Mitsubishi's industrial PC, control card and software, the MeldasMagic 64 is ideal for turning and machining centers.

In addition to handling up to seven axes (including servos and spindles), the MeldasMagic 64 can control four auxiliary axes for such applications as turret indexing, tool magazine control, etc. Its 64 bit RISC processor allows for high-speed machining and high accuracy control features found in some high-end CNCs. The MeldasMagic 64 also provides 32kB/16K steps of PLC ladder memory, as well as up to 512 inputs and 512 outputs using remote I/O modules.
