Thanks to their explosion proof casings and their “de” protection mode, they can apply in explosive atmospheres in zones 1 & 2 (gas) and zones 21 & 22 (dust). 

The DXN decontactor is ATEX 94/9/CE approved for zones 1 & 2 (gas) and zones 21 & 22 (dust).  It offers automatic IP66/IP67 ingress protection rating as soon as the plug is inserted into the socket. Its casing made by glassfibre-reinforced polyester affords an excellent mechanical protection (IK08) and resistance to extreme temperatures (-40 °C to +60 °C). Their safety load break switch capability allows a disconnection up to 63 A without any electrocution hazard for users. It can be used for mobile gensets, ship-to-shore supplies, distilleries, offshore platforms etc.
