MetrixÒ is completing its product offer in oscilloscopy with an addition to the SCOPIXÒ family, a new line intended for laboratory and educational use. This OX 6000 line combines high technical performance, simplicity of use, and practical functions, all at a competitive price.
Technical performance
OX 6000 instruments are both oscilloscopes and (except for the OX 6202) recording multimeters; they also provide an FFT analyser function.
They allow rapid sampling at high resolution thanks to their 10-bit/1Gs/s converter, 50Gs/s sampling on periodic signals, and capture of 2ns transients, thereby avoiding undersampling.
The vertical resolution of the 10-bit converter, four times that of a conventional 8-bit converter, is controlled by the graphic "One click Winzoom" and achieves unrivalled accuracy. This characteristic results in an improved 60dB dynamic and optimum accuracy on frequency and amplitude measurements.
The new OX 6000 oscilloscopes have two insulated measurement channels (330V, cat. II) and display up to 4 curves on screen. In oscilloscope mode, the 19 automatic measurements can be displayed directly simply by pressing the dedicated key.
Simplicity of use
The 28 keys for direct access to the various modes and parameters and their “Windows Like” universal menus make navigation of the instrument intuitive. The touch screen and/or the use of a stylus, make it possible to use the graphic elements to act directly on the adjustments, such as the positions of the traces, the trigger level, the cursors, and even the zoom.
A display zone at bottom right on the screen identifies the adjustment in progress at all times. The LCD screen display, monochrome on some models, colour on others, measures nearly 12cm by 9cm; its automatic battery saver function is adjustable.
Practical functions
While retaining the well-known design of the Scopix® line from Metrix®, the new OX 6000 instruments are light and compact and include practical new functions. Weighing approximately one kilogram each, they are easy to transport thanks to a built-in carrying handle on the back. Their very small size (H 230, W 185, D 180mm) makes them easy to handle. The ingenious built-in stowage space can be used to carry the accessories and the power cord. Their small bulk is another asset on work centres, always crowded.
Experts in communications
Efficacious in both lab bench and remote use, the OX 6000 adapt to the new working methods with their Ethernet interface (transfers at 10 MB/s) and their Web server. Printing on network printers, remote management, and file exchanges with an FTP server are now possible.
This open-ended new line lets you download new functions from the Chauvin Arnoux Group's support site.
