The neutrino GLT is designed for the management level of building automation. As a control center, the neutrino GLT takes over the superordinate management tasks for the optimal operation of the technical building equipment (TGA) and/or technical plants (BTA). By connecting the neutrino GLT to the automation stations and to other devices at the automation and field level, the operator is able to check and influence the BTA at the management level.
Components (hardware)
The neutrino GLT is a computer with screen, keyboard and mouse. It can be expanded with a printer, modem and other office equipment. Further computers can be connected to the neutrino GLT either as operator stations (network operator stations) or for remote operation (PHWIN, PHWEB).
The automation stations and other automation and field level devices are connected via serial interfaces, modems, bus systems or the network.
The neutrino GLT works together with the automation stations according to the principle of spatially distributed intelligence with front end processing. The operation and control functions are implemented in the automation stations. Even if communication between the automation stations and the neutrino GLT is interrupted, the autarkic operation and control functions are still ensured.
Programs (software)
The neutrino GLT has a QNX operating system. QNX is a real-time capable, network-oriented multi-user system with integrated network software and full-graphic user interface.
On the QNX operating system is the system software for management functions with programs for system management, for processing process information and for operation and observation.
There is a server and a client at work in each neutrino GLT. The server makes the building automation data available. The client is responsible for the graphic representation on the user interface and processing the data. Inquiries are passed on to the server, answers are graphically displayed. The neutrino GLT stores all data in an SQL compatible database.
In principle servers and clients can also be accommodated in separate computers, even in separate operating systems. This variable and flexible concept enables various GLT structures.
Depending upon the application, the functions of the neutrino GLT can be extended with SMA software modules. This enables a customized solution for each application at the management level of the building automation.
Operation
Pictures of the plant, trend curves and quick queries as well as operating and fault messages are quickly displayed on the neutrino GLT monitor.
The intuitive user interface of the neutrino GLT leads users clearly through their technical plants (BTA). A dynamic plant tree can be displayed and shows the operator where he/she is at any time. Push buttons, selection menus and plain texts provide maximum transparency.
The user interface can be arranged and extended without programming or script languages according to the user's needs with plant pictures, points of dynamic display or quick query tables.
The user interface of the neutrino GLT is administered via passwords according to the operator and his/her access privileges.
Interfaces
The neutrino GLT has been conceived for teamwork. Extensive interfaces enable integration of other management, automation and field level systems. The software of the neutrino GLT is based exclusively on general network standards. Integration into existing network architectures is therefore simple. With modern user interface transmission the neutrino GLT can be operated over the network by every other computer in the network.
This makes information, files and resources such as data media, central data protection and printers available to different users.
Both BACnet, the world standard in building automation, and LonWorks are natively integrated into the neutrino GLT and combined under a common user interface.
