
For 50 years, the OMERIN group has been producing electrical cables for use under extreme conditions from -190°C to +1400°C.
The French group Omerin, whose head office and main division are both located in Ambert in the Puy-de-Dôme area of France, is one of the world’s leading producers of specialist electrical wiring and cabling for use under extreme conditions. It has 9 production sites, including 7 in France (in the Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes regions) and 2 abroad.
Its wide range of products also includes braided insulating sleeves, flexible heating elements and cables, and hosing for sanitary engineering and air conditioning. The group employs 600 people and had a consolidated turnover of €109 million in 2006.
For a number of years, the Group’s research and development efforts have been turned towards products for renewable energy sources, including its range of hosing for solar energy installations, SUNNYFLEX®, together with other hosing for heat pumps; its ranges of very high UV-resistance wires and cables for heat-collection installations, SOLARPLAST®; and numerous products that contribute to human safety and environmental protection.
