The prestigious Belgian institute ISSeP of Liege provided Elcis with the latest certifications ATEX  II 2 G D  Ex d II C T6/T5  and  II 2 G D  Ex tD A21  IP 6x T85°C/T100°C, according to CENELEC rules and CESI provided the Product Quality Assurance Notification.

This incremental encoder series is suitable for use on working environments with explosive atmosphere  (except for mines with grisù) due to gas (G) and/or dust (D). 

The available models are extremely sturdy; they are made in turned from rod metal with precision bearings and stainless steel shaft.On request these encoders can be completely stainless steel.
