EAO, the Expert Partner for Human Machine Interfaces, is offering a new spring terminal connector technology for the popular Series 04 switch range.

The Series 04 with PIT (push-in terminal), which features a spring termi­nal connection from Phoenix Contact, reduces assembly times by up to 70% when compared to screw terminals. It offers a more reliable, secure connection in combination with a very high resistance to vibration.

Solid conductor wires with stripped ends, or stranded wires with boot­lace ferrules can simply be pushed into the terminal, which opens auto­matically and then clamps down to firmly secure the wire in place.

Stranded wires without ferrules, or thinner solid conductor wires can also be used. By pressing the orange lever with a 2 mm screwdriver the spring clamp is opened and the wires can be pushed in; releasing the lever secures the wires in place.
