PLC CONTROL UPGRADE WITH ULTRASONIC POSITION MEASURING

The PLC control system upgrade incorporates

  • A control cabinet for all units of the DISAMATIC Moulding System replacing the control cabinets for the Moulding Machine (DMM), the Core Setter (CSE) and the Automatic Mould Conveyor (AMC).
  • An ultrasonic position transducer measuring the positions of the squeeze plate (PP) and the counter pressure plate (CP/SP).
  • A modified operator panel with a colour Visual Display Unit (VDU) and a keypad for entering production data.
  • A new CSE operator control panel (only if a CSE is installed).
  • An upgrade of all electrical monitoring of guard gates.
  • A renewal of all electrical operator controls.
  • A replacement of all electronic proximity switches with new 24V DC switches.
  • A new set of cables connecting the new control cabinet with the DMM and the CSE making it possible to place the cabinet in a new more convenient place.
  • The PLC control is prepared for communicating with optional Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) modules installed on a remote PC. From this PC data can be exchanged with other computers on a network (LAN)
