Cutting-edge monitoring and control is achieved with the PowerSense optical DISCOS® sensor technology and a specially integrated voltage sensor. Both current and voltage are measured directly. The DISCOS® sensor works by using the Faraday principle. Current generates a magnetic field that is measured by the angle of rotation of polarized light. The system is designed for live installation on any existing medium voltage overhead power line.
