Variair System-Liquid Cooled (VAS-LC)

The VARIAIR SYSTEM-LIQUID COOLED (VAS-LC) is our latest development in the VARIAIR SYSTEMS (VAS) line.

Just as with the VAS, the VAS-LC can be set up directly next to a machine or installed in a separate room. The size of the sound-insulated cabinets can be reduced relative to the VAS to save space on the printing machine.

Depending on the type of printing press, the vacuum and blast air is controlled from the control station or by an additional keyboard located at the control station. Separate air supply settings can be stored for each job.

The difference to VAS is that here all key components in the air blast cabinet are directly water-cooled. These include the air blast fans, frequency converters and motors. This highly effective cooling system allows the air blast fans to achieve operating points that would only otherwise be possible using completely different compression principles. There is no need for motor or cabinet fans. Hence, there is no need for exhaust hoods or similar since the air circulation is reduced to a minimum. Another benefit is that a much smaller air conditioning system can be used. The total number of units required for VAS-LC is fewer than with VAS. Yet another advantage is that lower blast air temperatures can be achieved by using water-cooled sound absorbers.

With the exception of filter changes, the side-channel compressors are maintenance-free. The integrated frequency converters allow these air blast systems to operate in an energy-saving manner.

A VAS-LC is easily integrated into feedback systems with different water-cooled peripheral systems.

The TouchScreen located on the door of the VAS-LC serves as an indicator, monitor and recorder for the operating statuses and provides detailed information on any faults that may occur. Furthermore, service technicians can directly access the various convenient functions for maintaining and configuring the system. Remote maintenance is optionally available for the VAS-LC.

All of the settings are stored and can be retrieved from the database for each new job:

Since each machine is handled separately, they do not have an adverse effect on each other. The VAS-LC is optimised for maximum production speed.
