Measuring with laser technology is considered as one of the parade disciplines of progressive precision measuring techniques – without it, many achievements of today's industrial engineering would not have been possible.

The Radian™ laser tracker of API is substantially more compact than all other laser tracker on the market, because there was no need for active and complex cooling components due to his innovative layout. There are no exhausts, because there is no need for them. While other manufacturers assembling fans in order to get a grip on the thermal expansions, API focuses on an intelligent, world-wide unique assembly of the measuring device on the axle of the laser beam. The laser beam leaves the tracker head, never deflected at any time.

Today API manufactures on 45,000 square meters at the company headquarters in Rockville not only 5/6D Laser™ Interferometer systems of the latest technology, but also laser interferometer for calibration of machine tools and CMMs. API´s XD6™ is the only interferometer  to automatically provide roll measurement around an axis along with linearity, X & Y straightness, pitch and yaw measurements.
Beyond that API offers to its customer comprehensive systems for cataloging of thermal and geometrical errors for real time correction of CMM- and CNC- machining centers. The compliance to highest production standards is guaranteed by a fully airconditioned 27-Meter precision laser measuring system.
