The uniqueness of the CC fibre trays is that the cellulose is form-pressed directly into a tray shape. This is a dry method as opposed to the traditional wet one and consumes much less energy compared to similar products. The tray was developed for fresh foods, but is suitable for many different products aswell. It can be used in a microwave or conventional ovens, plus for chilling and freezing. Made from renewable resources the new fibre tray provides a robust barrier to moisture and oil, is highly gas-tight and suitable for modified atmosphere packaging (MAP).
