Dynamic Mailbox Allocator

The Dynamic Mailbox Allocator allows service providers to allocate mailboxes on voicemail systems only after subscribers initializes them. This application promotes efficient mailbox capacity utilization and eliminates uninitialized mailboxes from messaging platforms. As a result, less messaging system storage space is needed, lowering associated equipment costs.

Product characteristics :

  • Generates an SMS message to prompt and to thank subscribers for initializing their mailboxes

  • Generates an outcall notification, where the system calls the subscriber using a computer-generated voice message to prompt mailbox initialization

  • Sends notification as a text message to subscribers’ voice mailbox, either flagging their handset or sending an Outcall Notification directly to the subscribers’ handset using a computer-generated voice message

  • Interfaces via TCP/IP, using an open application programming interface, to either the Alcatel-Lucent Intelligent Messaging Center (AnyPath®) messaging system or the CA/Sierra™ messaging platform

  • Runs on commonly used industry standard Sun® Microsystems hardware platforms

  • Includes foundation, application and client software
