Typically it will cost more to clean and dry a re-usable device than it will to buy a similar disposable device. How can we say that? 1. Typical Overhead rate for a factory technician = £30 to 40/hour (approx. US$ 55/hour, EURO 45/hour) 2. How long does it take to clean a typical sampler = 20 minutes 3. Manufacture of the SteriWare range is carried out in a controlled environment to allow the cleanest possible product. This gives the best sample results as contamination (non clean sampler) is one of the biggest reasons for poor sample results. The latest moulding and assembly lines are used in a class 100,000 medical cleanroom. The photo on the right shows ultrasonic welding taking place on a disposable Powder Thief.

Power Sampler
The Power Sampler consists of a convenient hand held power unit which drives an auger. The auger is used to draw the product up the lance and into the collecting vessel. The Powder Lance can be used to take large volume samples of cohesive powders. The sampler can be used horizontally through a sack or else it can be used vertically. Cohesive Pocket Sampler

The Cement Sampler allows fast sampling from tankers etc.. It was designed for the cement industry but can be used on a wide range of free flowing powders . The sample is a cross section through the tanker(from top to bottom). The sample size is approximately 8 litres from a bulk depth of 1.5 metres. Easy handling: The open tube will penetrate the product to the desired depth. When retracting the patented valve is closed and the sample inside the tube can be withdrawn.

Application:
The cement sampler is suitable for free flowing powders with a bulk weight of approximately 1 kg/litre.

Pump Sampler
Highly effective hand operated sample pump
Allows quick sampling of liquids. The chance of cross contamination is greatly reduced by using new tube and bottles for each sample. Suitability: Type: Material: Operation: Low to medium viscosity liquids. Single Point PE , PTFE or 316L stainless steel 1. Cut the sampling tube to the required length. 2. Screw the collecting bottle to the base of the hand pump. 3. Insert one end of the sampling tube through the hand pump and into the collecting bottle. 4. Drop the other end of the sampling tube into the product. At the required depth pump the handle. Several pumps will fill the sample collecting bottle.

The ever popular Cup Sampler is ideal for sampling liquids and suspensions. The device is manufactured from 316 stainless steel. The Cup Sampler enables discrete samples to be easily taken from known heights within the product. Type: Material: Operation Single Point 316 stainless steel 1. 2. 3. 4. Sub Sampler Pro
The Best Selling Heavy Duty Liquid Sampler
The Sub Sampler Pro (some times called a `Bomb Sampler') is used throughout the world for both chemical and environmental sampling. Its unique double action means it can sample from a set distance from the bottom of a container or alternatively at a mid point in a container or well for example.

A. Sample from the bottom of a container
- Use a Lowering Cable The Sub Sampler Pro is lowered until the plunger assembly touches the bottom of the container. As the plunger assembly is pushed up the sample is able to enter the device. When the sampler is raised the plunger will drop down and seal the sampler.

The sampler can either be manually pushed into the liquid being sampled or else it can be lowered on the end of a wire. Ideal for sampling from storage silos or well sampling. For viscous materials use the bailer fitted with an end weight (Part No. 5040W-1000)

TeleSwab
Telescopic Swabbing Tool
Taking swabs from high and difficult to reach places has always been a problem. The TeleSwab with its extendable handle overcomes these problems and allows operators to quickly and easily take swabs from previously inaccessible places. Ideal for environmental swabbing and for use with large items of processing equipment. The sampler comes complete with an extendable handle that can be extended to the correct length for easy swabbing. An adjustable adapter allows the swabs etc. to be angled to meet the contours of the item being sampled.

Material Identification Service
Positive Material Identification using X-Ray Fluorescence
X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) is an FDA approved material identification technique. Our XRF analyser can quickly identify different grades of stainless steel as well as hundreds of other alloys. XRF is a non-marking, non-destructive technique and so can be used to test finished products. Sampling Systems are pleased to offer this as an on site and off site service.

We have never been happy with supplying Mill Certificates because: ! They were frequently difficult to read (due to being faxed and copied many times) ! They were reliant on everybody in the supply chain being meticulous in their record keeping With the old system it was too easy for mistakes to be made.

We will issue a certificate identifying the alloy used for each part of your equipment. Please note that XRF is only suitable for testing metallic components.
